Top 5 Tools Apps Performance in Latin America, Q1 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, several tools apps showed varied performance across Latin America on the unified platform, encompassing both iOS and Android. Here’s a look at the top five apps based on Sensor Tower data.

Avast Antivirus & Security from Avast Software saw a steady climb in weekly revenue, peaking at around $45K in mid-March. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 264K, reaching a high of 289K in late January, and ending the quarter at 197K. Active users remained robust, with numbers generally above 8.5M, despite a slight dip towards the end of the quarter.

AVG AntiVirus & Security experienced a rise in weekly revenue, reaching approximately $25K by the end of March. Downloads varied, peaking at 244K in late January before dropping to 222K. Active users showed a gradual decrease, starting at 5.2M and dipping to just below 4.9M by the quarter's end.

NordVPN – fast VPN for privacy by Nord Security maintained strong revenue, with a peak of $55K in late February. Downloads decreased from an initial 90K to 58K in late February but rebounded to over 102K by the end of March. Active users remained relatively stable around 540K.

WeLastseen: Chat App tracker from GIYASTAR saw revenue grow, hitting $16.7K at the quarter’s end. Downloads increased significantly towards the end, from 60K to over 75K. Active users rose steadily from 242K to approximately 296K.

Finally, Norton360 Antivirus & Security by NortonMobile showed a gradual increase in revenue, reaching $19K by March. Downloads peaked at 106K in early March, while active users fluctuated, peaking at 640K in mid-March before declining to 565K.
